State engine

36 activity combinations

Six working-time bands combine with six coffee bands. Working time and coffee jointly increase the visible workload and stress.

Overrides

Special dates stay configurable

Conferences, travel days, Winter/Summer holidays and generic unavailable periods are loaded from the privacy-safe Academic API. Manual overrides remain available, while selected Catholic celebrations are resolved by the Catholic Calendar package.

Integration

Designed to transplant

Data retrieval, state resolution and presentation are separate, so the component can later move into the Academic Website without coupling it to this demonstration page.

Summer Cedar makes mobile navigation easier and brings a more consistent set of 36 work-and-coffee penguins.

Penguin states

  • All 36 work-and-coffee illustrations have been refreshed and reviewed together.
  • Heavier work now adds clearer signs of effort, while more coffee brings stronger caffeine effects without changing the workload.

Mobile navigation

  • Day controls are easier to tap, and nearby dates can be browsed in a scrollable row.
  • Week shortcuts remain easy to find without crowding smaller screens.

Reliability

  • The timeline checks calendar and conference information more carefully while preserving the existing special-day behaviour.
